WILD ACCESS has since 2021 created site-specific performances for public spaces. Locations include streets, gardens, running tracks, parks, urban greenways, galleries and memorial sites such as Berlin’s former bear pit. Our performances turn sites into stages and invite the outside - from the immediate, local surroundings to remote, wild landscapes - in.
Following in the footsteps of immersive theatre and participatory performance, we seek a direct engagement with audiences and our performance site. Through on-site and in-studio research, we have developed a unique method to draw attention to the environment through sound, light and dance. Our works amplify the sensory and offer access to the wild within nature, within the social, and within us.
We present engaging formats in unexpected locations, making contemporary dance available to the wider public. As we continue to expand out and channel inwards, WILD ACCESS welcomes new collaborations and partnerships across communities and contexts.
