WILD ACCESS is an immersive performance company that since 2021 has brought site-responsive, interdisciplinary productions to public spaces. Squares, parks, sports fields, former industrial areas – the Berlin-based company uses the mediums of dance, light and sound to listen to and draw out the WILD in familiar locations and offer ACCESS to new perspectives and imaginaries.
The productions are a hybrid format between audio walk and performance: the audience is led through the site by night, while they listen to a soundtrack and encounter live dance and light interventions along the way. The mobile journey of the body amplifies the sensorial experience of place, aiming to bring us closer to our environment and our local surroundings.
WILD ACCESS is led by artistic director and choreographer Beatrix Joyce, with dramaturgy and performance by Michela Filzi, light and costume design by Lena Gätjens, dance by Imola Nagy, Savina Casarin and Susanna Ylikoski and sound design by Jethro Cooke. Invited musicians include Dan Kinzelman, Jun Suzuki and Jake Long.
